What to Bring to Your Grad Session

Last updated: January 1, 2022 to include current Covid-19 safety measures

Your session is booked, you’re ready to go. But what do you need to bring? Here are 4 things you'll need:

1. The $60 deposit — You can pay by cash, debit or credit (We unfortunately do not have online payments set up....yet!) This deposit can be applied toward your order within 90 days. If you decide not to order, we'll refund the deposit as long as you return the Artona Book within 30 days (We'll post your photos online and mail your booklet within 5-7 days after your session) Please note, some university students are required to pay an additional $15 sitting fee that goes toward student services. This fee can not be applied your order and is non-refundable.

2. Your outfit — We will provide the formal graduation cap and gown but you can decide what to wear for the "casual" shots. You can read our suggestions on what to wear here. Our main studio in Vancouver normally has lots of change rooms but with Covid-19 safety measures, we are asking students to come dressed, ready to go.

3. Props — This is a great way to personalize your portraits and keep them fun! We encourage you to bring anything that is important to you and that will remind you of your student years. Anything that represents your favourite class, activity or sport is welcome, as well as instruments, books and even food.

Update on pets: We are now allowing pets in our studios again. To read our full pet policy, please read this post.

4. Your crew — Due to the recent changes to our provincial health restrictions and recommendations, we are now limiting grads to bringing a maximum of two people to their session for a friendship or family photo.

If you are interested in having a larger family or friendship photo, you can book a separate group session, which includes a maximum of six people. To book a group session, please click here.
