What to Bring to Your Grad Session

Your session is booked, you’re ready to go. But what do you need to bring? Here are 4 things you'll need:


1. The $60 deposit — You can pay by cash, debit or credit (We unfortunately do not have online payments set up....yet!) This deposit can be applied toward your order within 90 days. If you decide not to order, we'll refund the deposit as long as you return the Artona Book within 30 days (We'll post your photos online and mail your booklet within 5-7 days after your session)


2. Your outfit — We will provide the formal graduation cap and gown but you can decide what to wear for the "casual" shots. You can read our suggestions on what to wear here. Our main studio in Vancouver normally has lots of change rooms but with Covid-19 safety measures, we are asking students to come dressed and ready to go.


3. Props — This is a great way to personalize your portraits and keep them fun! We encourage you to bring anything that is important to you and that will remind you of your student years. Anything that represents your favourite class, activity or sport is welcome, as well as instruments, books and even food! As long as it's appropriate and fits into a 55 x 39 cm container, you can bring it (We are sanitizing containers after each use).


Unfortunately, pets are not permitted at our studios during this time. We know they're family too and hope that we can invite them back soon.


4. Parents or Guardians — Taking your graduation photos is an exciting and memorable experience, so we know how important it is to have family there. We unfortunately are not offering friendship photos but you can still take a family photo with up to two parents or guardians. Unfortunately, siblings, cousins, grandparents and other loved ones will need to stay home.


Of course, the most important thing you need to bring is you and your authentic self. As a graduating student, your smile and sense of joy and pride are what matters most. We can't wait to see you at our studio!
